Blake --> Senior '11

What a fun day it was to share with Blake, Shannon, Jeff and Brooke.  It was a family affair to take Blake's pictures since he's not a natural 'smile for the camera' guy.  Shannon and Brooke kept him cracking up, and at times I was laughing so much I was forgetting to keep taking the pictures.  Jeff was the run-around man... getting Blake's three trucks, 1 tractor, and 4-wheeler where we wanted them.  For a guy who's not great at smiling for a camera - it was hard to narrow the pictures down, we had so many great ones.  So Blake's family has been working hard to narrow them down to 50, then 35 and again tonight they are narrowing them down further.....(I'm glad I gave THEM that job.)  I'm pretty sure Blake even enjoyed getting his pictures done....   I was impressed.

So even though there are a whole bunch of great pictures of Blake - I'm just adding these because I love, love, love that truck! The truck belongs Blake's grandpa, but Blake fixed it and just got it running.... maybe grandma and grandpa will let him keep it after all that work he put into it  :)

Flat Stanley for a visit

Flat Stanley visited our home and had so much fun playing with Landon, getting into his toy basket and trying to drive his car!

More than Corn in Indiana?

It's harvest time!  The combines are out in the fields and the sun is shining a beautiful light.  Just perfect for pictures of my neighbors, who I just adore.  The kids were so good.  After a few minutes with me, they got to pick their poses.  Can you tell which ones they did?

Maatman Wedding

I'm not sure if I have ever had this much fun taking pictures at a wedding.... Tiffany and Kirk enjoyed a beautiful day, loving family and friends, a wonderful ceremony, and a rockin' reception.  Yes, I said "rockin".

Tough Girls

Go Cubbies

Landon is nine months old already!  He is sure growing.  Our house is filled with laughter, giggles, random sounds, cries and smiles.  Landon thinks he's big now because he pulls up on everything and loves to 'walk' while holding our fingers.  He even eats big boy foods like bread, mashed potatoes, doughnuts, icecream, yogurt and a little fruit.  Daddy wanted Landon's nine month pictures to reflect his favorite baseball team so GO CUBBIES!

Eric and Mindy

Eric and Mindy were united in marriage last Saturday.  They chose a beautiful location for the ceremony and reception.  Forecasts predicted rain but it was sunny and breezy instead.  I went to high school with both Eric and Mindy so it was fun to see them again.   Enjoy your sneak peak!

Just got back from this photo shoot with one of my best friend's children.... it was so much fun.  Here are just a few photos - I haven't even finished importing the pictures to my computer...

Stay at home mom  (for the summer)

I'm loving my summer off.  Landon and I get to play and take a bike ride everyday.  It's so rewarding being home with him.  I pick a few jobs to complete at home each day and spend the rest of my time with him.  He is really growing lately too.  He was 18 lbs 9 oz just this week at the doctor's. 

He just started playing with his dunk 'n cheer basketball hoop.... you know, getting ready for basketball season with his daddy as the varsity coach!  Yeah, we'll be gym rats :) 

Big Eater

Landon's a pretty good eater.  He's pretty cooperative too.  This day was an exception so instead of getting all wound up about it - I decided to document it :)  He was having so much fun getting messy.

So I had to come up with a genius invention.... our beautiful high chair doesn't have a strap besides the one to hold the tabletop down....  check it out:

Yes, I know... not the best picture of Landon but if you look close, you'll see the belt!  I started with this cloth belt from a pair of capris and then I found a piece of twill tape with velcro on it so now i just velcro him to the chair.  Simple things make me happy.
